After Prom

For the past twenty-five years CAPTAIN has hosted “After Prom” parties immediately following the Shenendehowa High School junior and senior proms. These popular events are coordinated with a different creative theme every year in an effort to provide students with a fun, safe means to continue to celebrate after the formal prom party is over. After Prom parties include live music, appetizers and beverages donated by area restaurants, as well as games, contests, tee shirts and door prizes. The events are healthy party alternatives designed to help teens avoid engaging in high-risk behaviors on prom nights, particularly mixing illegal drinking and substance abuse with driving. Since CAPTAIN began offering after-prom parties, there have been no alcohol-related incidents or casualties within the Shenendehowa School District on a prom night.
