During the school year, a four day a week Homework Help program for grades k-12 is made possible through the efforts of 42 caring and dedicated volunteers. The program operates Mondays - Thursdays from 2:45 – 3:45 for elementary students, from 4:00 – 5:30 for middle school; and 5:30 – 6:30 for high school students. The students have access to educational resources, weekly craft projects and a computer lab at the Outreach Center.
“Teens ‘n Turf” offers Middle and High School students the opportunity to participate in “What’s Cookin" – a dinner program for teens on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m.; and a Newspaper Club, which creates a bi-monthly community newspaper. Movie &Game Nights are held each Friday from 5:00 – 7:00. Quarterly “Go Getter” parties recognize academic achievement.
All Shenendehowa students are eligible to participate in these free programs.
