During the school year, a three day a week Homework Help program for grades k-12 is made possible through the efforts of 35 caring and dedicated volunteers. The Program operates on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 – 3:45 for elementary students and from 4:00 – 6:00 for middle and high school students. The students have access to educational resources, weekly craft projects and a computer lab at the Outreach Center.
Monthly Critter Club sessions focus on problem solving and conflict resolution, for students in grades 1 – 3. This program is facilitated by Pat Montgomery, Orenda School counselor. “Teens ‘n Turf” offers Middle and High School students the opportunity to participate in “What’s Cookin" – a dinner program for teens; and a Newspaper Club, which creates a bi-monthly community newspaper. Wellness Programs, Movie/Game Nights and quarterly “Go Getter” parties, recognizing academic achievement, are also offered.
