CLOTHING and HOME GOODS DONATIONS:

CAPTAIN’s Treasures, our next-to-new clothing and home goods store, is eager to accept your donations of clothing, furniture and household items.
Because sorting donations and preparing them for sale in our store requires a great deal of time and manpower, we’d like to ask that donations be dropped off on Wednesdays and Saturdays. If you have larger items such as furniture, we ask that you contact the Treasure Shop at (518) 383-1788 to arrange for delivery of your items to the Shop.

All proceeds from this next-to-new shop fund vital CAPTAIN programs that serve our neighbors in need. Programs like Family Assistance, which provides emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities to families in crisis, preventing evictions and utility shut offs; Family Development which teaches financial literacy to families who have come to rely on outside sources as a means of supporting themselves; and an array of other services which encourage personal and social development in the youth and families in our community.

EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY:

CAPTAIN’S Emergency Food Pantry is always taking donations of non-perishable food items and hygiene products. Canned tuna and fruit, cereals, rice and pasta, and juices go quickly and are always needed. Personal care items like diapers, toiletries, cleaning supplies, paper products, and detergents are also key items.

The pantry is located at the CAPTAIN office and is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm for members of the community. If you are interested in helping a neighbor, please call CAPTAIN at 371-1185 or stop by our office with donations.
