--Director of Program Services
CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services, Inc., a nonprofit based in Clifton Park, NY, seeks a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience in all aspects of nonprofit program administration. The Director of Program Services is a member of the Management Team and oversees all aspects of daily program operations for this multi-level service organization. Primary focus includes developing, prioritizing, implementing and overseeing programs consistent with the organizations’ mission and long-range goals and objectives.
The Director of Program Services must demonstrate proven experience in the following key functional areas:
Program design, planning, development, implementation and evaluation,
Grant writing,
Budgeting,
Record keeping and reporting to private and public funding sources,
Staff supervision,
Working with a broad range of community groups including schools, government, faith based, business, volunteers, collaboratives, private and public funders and donors,
Microsoft Office Suite and solid computer skills.
The Director of Program Services must demonstrate proven prior involvement in the following key program areas:
Prior work with disenfranchised and at-risk youth and families,
Experience working with diverse community groups,
Passion to work with entry level and senior program staff who are on the front lines of community based services,
Participation in social service planning and policy development,
Hands on delivery of basic services including food clothing and shelter,
Experience with individuals and families needing services related to homelessness and/or poverty.
Academic and work experience: BS in a social services related field, or equivalent. A minimum of four years of upper level Program Director/Coordinator and/or management experience in a nonprofit setting.
Ability to work occasional early evenings.
